How we teach online safety
We use the Sheffield Online Safety Scheme, which forms part of our PSHE curriculum in school. These sessions are delivered throughout the year and cover various online safety topics.
Supporting families
The online world is posing an ever-increasing risk to children, and schools, parents and carers must work together to take an active role in teaching children about online dangers. Learning how to interact safely when using the internet is crucial to safeguard our children.
We are delighted to announce that Parson Cross CE Primary School has shown our commitment to protecting our pupils online by working with National Online Safety to become a ‘certified’ school. Therefore, enabling us to provide resources and training for all staff, parents and carers, pupils and the wider school community.
The resources include Parents & Carers courses (presented by Myleene Klass), online video resources and weekly guides covering a vast range of topics, including:
