Year 6
The time has come for your child to complete the final year of their primary education, and what a wonderful year we have ahead of us. This exciting year will be jam-packed full of new opportunities, challenges and new learning to prepare our fantastic children for their transition to secondary school.
In Year 6, we will focus on building confidence, independence and resilience and following the statutory National Curriculum requirements. The year will, of course, finish with SATs (8th-11th May), but we don’t want the children to worry about these! We are here to help every step of the way.
We cannot wait to see your children grow and become determined, enthusiastic learners with a thirst for knowledge. Our experienced Year 6 teachers have high expectations of every child. Our passion is to provide the very best opportunities for the children to ensure they achieve their full potential and, importantly, have fun along the way! We expect children to come to school ready for their lessons, be the best they can be and make every day count. But, most of all, we hope to enjoy our time together and make the children’s last year at Parson Cross School the most memorable yet.
