Understand the study of History as both a discrete subject and as part of the narrative of human development in conjunction with other areas of study such as human and physical geography, scientific development; societal development; religion; civics etc.

Appreciate what it means to be an Historian – the skills, methodologies and qualities that help us unlock the past and thereby inform a better understanding of the present.
Develop a knowledge and understanding of chronology – especially through the story of these islands and their peoples.
